VICTORIA ELMACIOGLU  (DIRECTOR) 

Victoria graduated from Brown University.  After a successful career in publishing in New York, where she was Managing Editor of Time Out and then Associate Editor at Zagat, she returned to Greece as the Director of Acquisitions, Distribution & Development at Television Enterprises S.A. Victoria proceeded to develop and produce several award-winning Greek T.V. series. In addition, she promoted Greek dramas in international territories for the first time in history, distributing her productions internationally as formats and finished programs. Victoria uses her extensive global network of producers, distributors,broadcasters and format creators to acquire content, develop shows for localnetworks, facilitate international co-productions and provide production services to clients.

 

NICK PAWSEY 

International television executive with 15 years experience in both content distribution and acquisitions at major U.S. studios (Warner Bros. and NBC Universal) and leading commercial Free-to-Air broadcasters (Antenna TV, Prva TV and Planet TV). Proven track record of increasing channel audience share through finished programming and format acquisitions as well as driving revenues through the distribution of channels and U.S. feature films and TV series across key European markets. 

 

ALEXANDRA BUT 

Alexandra graduated from Ulyanovsk State University, with a degree in linguistics and intercultural communication. Being a professional interpreter Alexandra got her start in the TV industry as a translator, at Amedia Company, where she worked in the writers’ room with Russian writers, Sony Pictures producers and Emmy Award-winner Lisa Seidman developing telenovelas and TV shows. Alexandra was involved in the adaptation of Betty La Fea – the most successful telenovela produced in Russia for CTC network. After five amazing years at Amedia, Alexandra joined Sony Pictures Russia where she collaborated with American writers and directors developing sitcoms for Russian TV networks. From 2009 and up until now Alexandra has been Head of International and a producer of the TV shows and movies produced by Russian World Studios (RWS) – one of the leading production houses in Moscow, Russia, acquiring the best content for adaptation from major Hollywood studios, distributing RWS shows worldwide and elaborating international co-productions. 

 

STANISLAV KIMCHEV 

Stanislav Kimchev is  the co-founder and  Senior Vice President of Global Sales  of CEETV Ltd. since its establishment in 2008. CEETV now operates the leading news and market intelligence platform for Television in Central and Eastern Europe – ceetv.net.  His current work includes customer service, networking and getting recognition from TV professionals interested in the unexplored TV markets in the CEE Region. Stanislav is a South-Western University graduate, with degrees in International Relations and Film Production. In 2014 he  became a co-founder and a Marketing Director at the TVBIZZ Magazine – currently one of the leading international TV industry publications, distributed during major events like NATPE Miami, MIPTV, NATPE Budapest, Kyiv Media Week and MIPCOM.

PETAR RADOVIC 

Petar Radovic has been involved in television industry in CEE, in many capacities – he has been a Deputy  Programme Director and Deputy Production Director at POP TV and Kanal A in Slovenia. He is currently the Editor Special Programming Events at  national RTVS Slovenija. He is a Member of Grand Jury for Rose d’Or of Montreux and has participated in the International Festival for entertainment television programming of Montreaux, Switzerland. He was invited by general secretary to be a member of Grand Jury for Rose d’Or in 2000.

Billy Williams - Inducted into the Editing Hall Of Fame, AICE 2007- New York City
 

Billy Williams started working in the film editing and advertising business when he was 17 years old. At 20 he became the youngest film editor in America. In his carrier he has edited more than 20 000 commercials (TV and theatre), scores of rock videos, infomercials and movie trails. He still has 4 of the top 10 of all time videos on MTV.

All through the 90s Billy Williams and his company kept prospering on the East and the West coast. He became the music editor for the Advertising business in America. Along the way Williams has received some of the most prestigious awards in the advertising business.

In 2007 Williams sold his company. In 2008 he was inducted in the Hall of Fame of AICE (Association of Independent Creative Editors), considered a great honor in the business.

Erik Ingvoldstad ( Singaopore ) - Acoustic Agency - CEO/founder

Erik Ingvoldstad is a rebel, an innovator, a creative leader, a strategist and an entrepreneur. He has background from creative leadership, as writer and creative director at a global level. Konstantin Vulkov (Bulgaria) - Darik RadioProgram Director

Konstantin Vulkov started his career as a radio presenter at the age of 15. He began producing weekly radio interviews with prominent Bulgarian musicians for the Bulgarian Section of the BBC World Service. A year later, he started his own 3-hours show for the first national private news & talk radio station in the country, Darik Radio.
Vulkov joined the biggest selling monthly lifestyle magazine in Bulgaria, Egoist as an Internet Editor in 1996. In 1999, he became the Bulgarian correspondent for the Prague-based Transitions Online.
In 2000 he co-established Retro Radio and took the Program Director position. Retro Radio was one of the most successful private radio network in Bulgaria.

Nastya Popova - Unicoms Trading

Nastya Popova is managing the company Unicoms Trading since 2001. Her previous role was connected with International trade with telecommunication equipment representing the biggest manufactures in the telecom industry. She has more than 20 years’ experience in telecommunication market in Balkan region. The last few years she was developing new service providing strategy and the company provides hosted solutions for Conditional access, Multiscreen and OTT services to the operators in Bulgaria and Balkan region. Nastya Popova has Engineering degree in Telecommunications and Master Degree in Economics. Her stronger qualities are business strategy and developing and sales management.

Izzet Pinto ( TR ) - Founder & President Global Agency 

Izzet was born in Istanbul in 1978 and has lived in Turkey, the USA and Thailand. After studying at Bilgi High School in Turkey, he graduated from Stratford in the United States. Marta Capelo Gaspar ( BE) - Director Public Policy at European Telecommunications Network Operators' Association  (ETNO)

Marta has extensive experience in telecoms regulation as well as intellectual property, data protection and e-Commerce services. In the early years of her career, she worked as a lawyer for leading Portuguese and international law firms in the technology, media & telecoms practice. Her academic background includes a degree in law from the Catholic University of Lisbon and European Legal Studies at the College of Europe in Bruges.

 

Magida Sukkari ( Chech Republic ) - Nielsen International Business Development  Director

Magida graduated from Charles University in Prague, with a degree in history. She has various experience all around market research and media – started from advertising agency though print media and Czech State Radio to media agency and of course research agencies – both of local and international origin.

Her job experience covers wide range from marketing and sales, new business development, managing of team, cooperation on official media projects and also on TGI project both in Czech Republic and Slovakia, assigning and supervising of research projects through analyzing available data sources, including writing of final reports and preparing strategical recommendations to working with different background materials and data sources, preparing data and source materials for editorial staff, writing articles; preparation of media plans and communication strategies, communication with media, cooperation on preparation of advertising campaigns including graphic basis.

Jeremy Maddocks ( UK ) - Director of Sales Middle East, Russia, CIS and CEE at Friend MTS 

Global leader in the provision of online anti-piracy systems and supplier of the world’s most used live watermarking system, Friend MTS appointed former Cisco executive , Jeremy Maddocks to its senior leadership team, in a new role focused on developing business opportunities in the Middle East, Russia, CIS and Central Europe .

A specialist in video software solutions and working with broadcasters in Russia and Eastern Europe, Maddocks was with NDS/ Cisco for almost 20 years, most recently in its Video Software Solutions group where he headed up Sales in the EEMEAR region as its Regional Director for GSP Cable Media Video. Before CISCO, Maddocks worked at NDS, the specialist pay TV security and middleware company that played leading role in conditional access and middleware on some of the world’s leading platforms including Sky, Direct TV and Liberty Global. During his 15-year role at NDS, he was tasked with taking its products into Russia and Eastern Europe and secured new customers across the region from Kazakhstan through Ukraine, Russia to former Yugoslavia, Romania and Poland and established the regional office in Moscow.

  

Janet Zaharieva ( BG ) -  Chief Regulatory Advisor to the Managing Board Vivacom

19-year professional carrier converging communications, media and IT.

Janet’s telecom carrier starts in 1998 at the newly established telecom regulator. After 3 years of state service, she joins the first private national broadcaster – bTV, being Chief Legal Officer there for 10 years. Since 2010 till present Janet is part of Vivacom management with portfolio of strategic regulatory issues and liaisons with governmental institutions and industry stakeholders. Janet has strong interest in ICT and IoT concept. Founder and member of the Centre for ICT law in Bulgaria in late 90s, she is currently chairing the Business Council on e-governance – an advisory body to the State Agency for Electronic Governance. Janet has PhD in telecommunications with thesis on the e-governance effects on telecommunications in Bulgaria.

George Kouzmov Jr (UK) - Software engineer

George Kouzmov Jr, is a software engineer in a London FinTech company. He has a big passion for gaming and has been practising it since young age, even played in few amateur tournaments. He is currently heading a group of enthusiasts called "I, the Hero", with the purpose of popularising gaming culture in the region.

Katherina Bujuklieva (BG) - Managing director Media Club

Katherina is a part of Media Club from its establishment in 1995. Since 1998 Katherina is a Managing Director of Media Club and one of its Shareholders.

Katherina is handling the active communication and relationships with the key media owners as well as with other strategic partners – creative, PR, content, research companies. She is responsible for the development and management of the strategic and long-term projects and goals of the clients. She has a strong negotiation skills and in-depth knowledge in the media market.

Katherina is a graduate in TU Sofia, Marketing and Management at the TU Braunschweig, Germany and has a master degree in Strategic Management at the Economic University of Vienna, Austria.

Dessislava Tanova (BG) - Client Service Director Media Club

Dessislava joined Media Club in 2010 and is currently leading the relationships with key clients. She is also managing the agency’s cross-market team, planning and executing successful media campaigns on more than 15 European markets. She is expert in increasing ROI for companies in the Cosmetics, Automotive, Pharmaceuticals, Food and Retail industries, as well as Arts and Entertainment.

In 2014 she co-founded mediaconnection.bg – a digital platform for planning media campaigns aimed at small and mid-sized Bulgarian businesses.

Dessislava holds a BSs in International Economics and Management from Bocconi University (Italy) and an MSc in Strategic Marketing from Cranfield University (UK).

Alexander Toshkov (BG) - Media Director Media Club, Managing Director at Digital Connection

Alexander has been with Media Club since 2002. He started his career as a Media Planner and gained experience in market sectors such as Financial Services, Motoring, Alcohol, Food, Drinks, Retail Outlets, Travel and Telecommunications. In 2006 he was promoted to Media Director. He is an expert in digital media channels and owners and has implemented numerous online campaigns for the agency clients.

Since 2011 he is also a Managing Director of the digital agency Digital Connection – a digital agency covering the full scope of online marketing services, which he is still successfully managing.

Alexander has a BA in English Philology from the Southwest University St. Neofit Rilski in Blagoevgrad and an MA in Management from the Management School of New Bulgarian University.

Amir Mureskic ( Slovenia ) - TV3 Ex Programme Director 

He began his career right down at the bottom of what were then the Pop Tv (CME)  channel in development. In the following almost ten year period he further advanced in his professional growth with going through practically all stages of televesion making, involving content and technical workig fields. He was engaged as an editor of daily programme and contributed greatly to the success of the organisation he was working for with his extensive experience, knowledge and enthusiasm.

His career has also been established by working with specialised thematic television programmes like MTV Adria (Viacom) . He managed the set up of this television for 15 months and contributed significantly to its reputation and range. Following new challenges, he continued his professional career as a programming director withTV3/VIASAT which is part of the MTG international media concern. Once again he was challenged with setting up a new television programme by becoming part of the Planet TV(Telekom Slovenia) as Head of TV and programming director. Later he worked as an Advisor to the Management Board of Telekom Slovenia making his contribution with decisions related to media and convergence sectors business. In the last few months he has been working with Planet TV (Telekom Slovenia/Antenna Group) as Head of Bussines Development and Content Strategy. He is one of a few lucky enough to enjoy his professional work as a hobby, while in his spare time he reads, enjoys watching art movies, travel and testing new technolocical gadgets

Andreas Kouris ( GR ) - CEO MAD TV 

Gerald Buscemi (FR) - Sales & Marketing Director, Biarritz Tourisme, Office de Tourisme et des Congrès

Originally from the City of Lyon, well known for being one of the first branded destination under the cover  “Only Lyon”,  he started his career at the Convention Bureau of Lyon, representing all the infrastructure involved in the business tourism,  of this area and all over Europe. For about 10 years, he’s performing all over the world (mainly on prior markets) to develop the attractivity of the City of Biarritz and the Basque Country for leisure and business tourism. Beyond the need to valorize the offer of the territory, he is a strong contributor in the creation and the development  of the brand “Biarritz-Pays Basque”.

Martin Zahariev ( BG ) - CEO Digital Radio 

Executive Director of the National Tourism Board from 2016. Over the past 25 years he has been working in the media field as a journalist, TV host, producer and publisher. He has graduated from the Faculty of Law of the Sofia University and has specialized in Media Management in the United States and United Kingdom. He was a radio and TV host of Radio Vitosha, Darik Radio, BNR, BNT and BTV. Chief Secretary of the State Telecommunications Commission between 1999-2001. He has created and published magazines: Egoist, Playboy, Rhythm, Motor Show, Bulgaria Air, Hello !, BBC Knowledge, BBC Good Food, BBC Top Gear, Auto Bild. Mrs. Joteva bachelor's degree is in Budapest University, Hungary. After this she completes her Master degree in Philosophy and Philosophical Studies, Sofia University "St.Kliment Ohridski" She speaks fluent English, French and Russian, knowledge of Hungarian and Spanish. Her carrier starts as a news presenter and foreign news editor for Bulgarian National Television for 8 years /1990 – 1998/. Prepared and presented the central and the evening news on BNT. Coordinated the work and the information stream with news editors and correspondents. Special correspondent in Belgrade from 1995 to 1997, the Persian Gulf, Europe. She has been correspondent for Trud newspaper and director of the bureau in Brussels for 5 years. Next two years she spends as consultant and analyst, NATO7 PIO SHAPE /. Responsible for the preparation of a detailed analysis of media in Eastern European countries and former Soviet Republics. Prepared recommendations for the PIO SHAPE media policy in these regions. Participated in setting up media targets for the NATO Riga Summit. Prepared analysis of political processes in Eastern Europe and Russia, as well as analysis of media coverage of NATO policy and ISAF in Afghanistan. Prepared general messages to the Afghan people regarding the NATO participation there: Involved in the ISAF information activities with foreign and local journalists and NGOs in the areas of its involvement in Afghanistan.  July 2007 she became First Secretary for media relations and communication strategies at the Permanent Representation of the Republic of Bulgaria to the European Union, Brussels. In October 2010 occupies the position Director of Public Relations, Communications and Protocol Directorate at the Ministry of Finance. Responsible for organizing, implementing and supervising the information policy of the Ministry and of the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance. For a short time she is Director of Public Relations, Communications and Protocol Directorate at the Ministry of Economy and Energy because in August 2014 she is adviser on media policy, public relations and intergovernmental relations in the economic sector in the Cabinet of the caretaker Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Policy and Minister of Regional Development and Investment Planning. Before taking up her current position as Member of CEM she is Spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for almost two years.

Spiros Pengas (GR) Deputy Mayor for Tourism Development and International Relations

During his leadership he helped change the cultural and tourism profile of Thessaloniki, turning it into a cosmopolitan, multicultural city that is more open to the world. Under his tenure, the city hosted a number of international events for the first time, including the "15th Mediterranean Biennale of Young Artists" and "Womex- World Music Expo." He implemented innovative actions and programs embraced by residents and visitors of the city, such as the Thessaloniki Food Festival, the institution of children’s sleepover events in museums, and the renovation of four children's libraries, in collaboration with the Stavros Niarchos Foundation. Spiros was born and raised in Thessaloniki. He graduated from the German School of Thessaloniki and studied Political Science and International Relations at the Universities of Freiburg and Munich. He then worked in the office of United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) in Brussels. Returning to the city, he took over his family’s business, the Galerie Dora Penga, expanding it from a local business selling imported handmade carpets from the Middle East and Central Asia into a national company. In 2003, he founded the nonprofit “Eastern Paths” to promote cultural education activities, including guided trips to the countries of Asia.

Velislava Popova (BG) Editor-in-chief of Dnevnik

Since November 2008. Dnevnik daily was newspaper with business focus, published till November 2011 and after that it’s developed as a leading news site. Popova is responsible not only for the content and the team, but for restructuring during the crises (2009-2010) and integration of print and online operations. Now she is responsible also for the development of the product, building audience, marketing & HR tasks. Popova was Marketing director of Economedia (publisher of Dnevnik, Capital and quality media). She created the department and started to develop the marketing & communication strategy of the company in October 2004. Her professional CV includes more than six years as a reporter and editor in "Capital" weekly. Theodora Domuschieva (BG) Business Development Manager of 7Talents

Theodora Domuschieva is Business Development Manager of 7Talents, part of Bulgaria's biggest digital media and technology company, Netinfo. She was appointed to the post in November 2016. Thanks to her work at NetInfo, Theodora has secured the successful development of 7Talents – a project aimed at producing and distributing video web series, series and reality formats. Through 7Talents' productions, the company has successfully introduced a new business model on the Bulgarian market – branded content. Theodora Domuschieva has rich experience in the TV industry – her career started at bTV when she was still a student, taking her through different positions at the media.
